About
Auteur Visuel gathers the storytelling work of Jay E. Eff – writer, composer and visual storyteller. The projects begin in text: private lines, poems and lyrics that are written as stories first, then allowed to become music and, finally, images.
Working between français and English, between page, song and screen, Auteur Visuel develops concepts for feature films, limited series, documentary formats and cross-cultural initiatives – always with narrative as the spine.
The platform now also includes the published novel Ari & Noah, its stage adaptation, and forthcoming book-led work developed through the same story-first attention to language, structure and atmosphere.
Current work includes story-led narrative film concepts, a limited series, music-driven visual poems, and a scalable international residency format connecting film schools and festivals.
Published Work
A quiet, character-driven novel about two people learning how to build a durable shared life without either of them disappearing inside it. Ari & Noah explores partnership through recognition, responsibility, trust and the small adjustments from which a life together is formed.
Rather than treating intimacy as a struggle for power, the novel follows partnership as an evolving practice: who sees, who acts, what remains unspoken, and how two people gradually learn to recognise the shared system they create together.

Ari & Noah also exists as a complete contemporary stage play in two acts, five movements and sixteen scenes. The ISBN-bearing Professional Reading Edition remains available for private professional, educational and developmental reading. A large-format Director & Performer Working Edition is also available in print through Amazon.
Open Audio Development
Ari & Noah is also being developed as a complete full-cast audio drama. Radio theatres, audio-drama companies, drama schools, broadcasters’ development teams, independent producers, performers, sound artists and accessibility practitioners worldwide are invited to explore the work through private development.
A complete external working package is available without a licence fee or prior application for work that remains private and developmental. It supports both a basic seven-track table read and a more developed human, synthetic or hybrid audio experiment.
Individuals, educational institutions and professional organisations may use the package for closed internal development under the enclosed terms.
Public performance, broadcast, podcast publication, streaming, public upload, festival or competition use, monetisation, distribution or release as a completed production requires a separate written agreement with Auteur Visuel.

Practice
Without disclosing story details, the practice can be described as three complementary lines of storytelling work.
Character-driven, visually precise projects: intimate dramas, poetic anti-war pieces and European romances crafted for festivals, art-house distributors and select platforms. Each originates in a written narrative, then grows into screenplay and visual language.
Original songs and bilingual lyrics act as narrative seeds – small stories that can live on their own or unfold into films. Music is treated as another way of telling the story: verses as scenes, refrains as emotional anchors.
Voice-led and sound-led work developed through silence, mediated speech, recurring acoustic objects, spatial transitions and equivalent access. The audio form is treated not as a secondary recording of a stage text, but as an independent dramatic space.
